How Singularity Connectors Work
Each connector is a native module — not a third-party Zapier-style integration. Connectors authenticate against the source vendor's API (OAuth, API key, or service-account credential), pull a configurable set of objects, transform each to Aeion's collection schema via the visual field mapper, and write to your tenant database. From there the data is queryable like any other Aeion collection — same auto-CRUD REST API, same GraphQL surface, same AI access through Claw, same audit trail.

If your source vendor isn't on the 103-connector list, three customer-extensible paths:
Honest No-Ops — When a Connector Can't Reach the Source
Every Singularity connector follows the Aeion "honesty rule." If the source vendor's API is down, your credentials are wrong, your OAuth token expired, you've hit a rate limit, or the connector can't make a real call for any reason — the connector returns a machine-readable failure reason instead of pretending the import succeeded.

Yes. Every Aeion plan — Starter, Professional, Enterprise — includes every Singularity connector with whatever volume your tenant generates. No per-row pricing. No per-connector unlock. No "premium connector" tier. The closest competitor (Fivetran) charges by MAR (monthly active rows) with rates that scale to $5K-$50K per month for typical mid-market tenants; Singularity is included.
Depends on the vendor and data volume, but a benchmark: Salesforce → Aeion CRM for a 200K-contact / 50K-opportunity org takes a single business day for the historical import plus 2-3 days of field-mapping review and validation. Shopify → Aeion Commerce for a 50K-product / 500K-order store takes similar — one business day import, 2-3 days validation. No — every field from the source vendor's API maps to either a standard Aeion collection field or a `customFields` extension on the target collection. Nothing gets dropped silently. Conflicts surface in the visual field mapper before the import runs, so you make the explicit decision.
Available for connectors where the source vendor's API supports both read and write. Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Stripe, Zendesk, Notion, Linear, and most other modern SaaS vendors have bidirectional sync. Read-only sync for vendors whose APIs are read-only or for which write would risk data corruption (e.g. accounting systems mid-period).
Yes. Each connector can run on a custom cron (every 5 minutes, hourly, daily, weekly), on a webhook trigger from the source vendor, or on-demand from the admin UI. Connector scheduling is part of the visual Blueprint workflow system — you can chain "Singularity pull → field transform → AI enrichment → push to CRM" in a single workflow.
Disconnecting stops new syncs but doesn't delete previously imported records. The data lives in your Aeion tenant collections as if it had been entered directly — fully queryable, exportable, AI-accessible, and yours forever.
Each connector ships with a test suite that exercises the source vendor's sandbox/test API. Connectors are monitored continuously; we get alerts when a source vendor changes their API in a way that breaks our connector, and we ship the fix to the standard distribution typically within 24-48 hours. The connector status page (in /admin/platform/singularity) shows real-time health.
Yes for connectors where the source vendor's API supports it. Use cases: keep Aeion CRM as your system of record while continuing to use Salesforce for sales-team familiarity; sync Aeion Commerce inventory back to your Shopify storefront; push Aeion-generated tickets back into Zendesk for legacy support workflows.

No — Singularity is specifically a data-import-and-sync layer for moving customer data into / out of Aeion tenant collections. It's not Zapier (event-action workflows = Aeion Blueprint), not Workato (low-code integration recipes = also Aeion Blueprint), not MuleSoft (API-mediation layer = Aeion's Global API). Singularity's narrower scope is what lets us include it in every plan instead of charging for it separately.
