Aeion Construction + Accounting

Construction cost lives in an immutable, append-only ledger inside Aeion — every posted cost entry rolls budget-vs-actual, projected final cost, and job-cost reports forward automatically, with no external accounting round-trip. If your books already live in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero, Singularity connectors import that data into Aeion (one-way, into the Finance module). What is NOT built yet: pushing construction job cost back OUT to an external ERP. This page says plainly which leg is live and which is roadmap.

What Connects — and In Which Direction

`

The Native Cost Ledger (Live Today)

This is the part that is fully wired and the part most contractors actually rely on.

Importing Your Books via Singularity (Live — Into Finance)

If you already keep books in an external accounting system, Singularity brings that data into Aeion. This is a real, production connector path — but read the direction and the target module carefully.

Cross-Module Cost Automation (Plumbing Live, Payload In Progress)

Construction listens on the Aeion event bus so other modules can feed it — without a point-to-point accounting integration.

FAQ

Not today. The external accounting connectors are import-only and land in the Finance module. Pushing construction job cost back out to QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage is on the roadmap, not shipped. If bidirectional job-cost sync is a hard requirement, talk to your account team about timing before committing.

No. Budget-vs-actual, job-cost reports, cash-flow projection, and earned-value tracking all compute from the native construction cost ledger. External accounting is optional and, when connected, feeds Finance rather than the construction ledger.

No. Imported QuickBooks data lands in Finance collections (customers, vendors, invoices, bills, chart of accounts, payments), not in `construction_cost_entries`. Mapping external AP/invoice lines onto a specific project's cost codes is an integration-project conversation, not a default connector step.

Export an IIF file and import it through Singularity's IIF parser (a real tab-delimited QuickBooks IIF parser). Same import-only, into-Finance caveats apply.

Yes — the Procore connector. It is a one-way import that pulls projects, RFIs, submittals, and punch items straight into construction collections. It is the honest external construction integration; it imports, it does not push back.

An honest cost ledger, and an honest import path.

Native append-only job-cost ledger with automatic budget-vs-actual — live today. QuickBooks / NetSuite / Sage / Xero import into Finance via Singularity — live, one-way. Two-way ERP job-cost push — roadmap. No fake sync buttons pretending otherwise.
