Aeion CRM + LinkedIn
LinkedIn's official API doesn't let third parties read other people's profiles, so Aeion CRM doesn't pretend to. Instead, CRM's contact-enrichment feature asks an AI model to research a contact (from their name, email domain, or company) and suggest a likely job title, company info, and LinkedIn profile URL — clearly tagged as an AI-inferred suggestion to confirm, not verified LinkedIn data. There's no LinkedIn OAuth flow, no browser extension, and no Sales Navigator API integration in the CRM module today.
What's Real Today
- A `linkedin` field on contacts — a manual URL field under the contact's
socialProfilesgroup. Sales reps (or enrichment) can attach a LinkedIn profile URL to a contact record.
What's Not Built (and LinkedIn's API Wouldn't Allow Anyway)
Being direct about both LinkedIn's own restrictions and what Aeion has actually built:
Common Gotchas
- AI suggestions can be wrong — the model is inferring from public knowledge, not querying LinkedIn live. Treat every enrichment result as unverified until a rep confirms it.
FAQ
No. Enrichment asks an AI model to research a contact and suggest likely profile details, including a guessed LinkedIn URL. It's explicitly tagged unverified — confirm before trusting it.
No — there's no browser extension of any kind shipped today.
No — not via LinkedIn's API (no third party can) and not via any Aeion-built workaround either.
Use a dedicated provider (Clearbit / Apollo / People Data Labs) for that. Aeion's AI-research enrichment is built for one-contact-at-a-time suggestions.
Different product, different concern — see Aeion's `/modules/recruit` module for recruiting workflows.
