B2B wholesale + distribution has different fulfillment needs than D2C — larger order sizes, commercial (not residential) delivery, and per-account billing terms (net-30/60/90) instead of card-at-checkout. Aeion Fulfillment natively handles the parcel side of this — multi-warehouse inventory allocation, EasyPost-backed rate-shopping across 100+ carriers, and RMA/returns — plus per-customer credit limits and net terms via Aeion Finance. Freight-specific mechanics (LTL/FTL carrier booking, NMFC freight classing, BOL generation, EDI) are common asks in this segment but are not native Aeion capabilities today — see the FAQ for what's real vs. what would need an external TMS/EDI provider. Not natively today. The carrier adapter (EasyPost-backed) rate-shops and books parcel shipments across 100+ carriers; LTL/FTL freight booking, NMFC classing, and BOL generation aren't implemented — those legs still run through an external TMS or freight broker.
Not native. Neither Aeion Fulfillment nor Aeion Singularity include an EDI connector today; customers with hard EDI requirements need a third-party EDI VAN/translator in front of the Aeion API.
Not a dedicated rules engine today — the rate-shopping service always queries every configured carrier and picks the cheapest; per-customer carrier pinning or lift-gate/appointment rules would need to be modeled as custom order metadata.
