Aeion Singularity for Legacy System Migration
Migrating off Salesforce, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP is the most consequential project most enterprises undertake — typical agency quotes $80k-$300k just to write the ETL scripts. Singularity collapses the project to days: OAuth connect, drag-and-drop visual field mapping, 500-row dry-run preview, resume-safe batch import. 102 native connectors mean most major source systems are configured in 30 minutes. Honest walkthroughs of the four most common migrations below — including what's still a human-led decision.

What Singularity Can NOT Automate

FAQ
For typical fields (string / number / date), accuracy is 99.9%+. For complex objects (relationships, custom fields, formula fields), 95-99% depending on source-system complexity. The 1-5% requires human review.
Configurable per record type. Default: dedup by primary key from source. Custom rules: dedup by email+phone, etc. Manually review dedup candidates in preview.
Singularity detects + respects. Auto-pause + resume on rate-limit windows. For very large migrations, configure slow-mode upfront.
Yes. Pass a modified-since filter: import everything with `last_modified > date_X`, then progressively pull older data. You supply the cutoff on each run — Singularity doesn't track a watermark for you automatically.
Yes. Migrate to a sandbox Aeion tenant first; verify; then run against production with the same mapping.
Singularity detects API version changes; pauses + alerts. Most major APIs have stable versions for 1+ year, so this is rare.
Yes. Many teams run both for 2-12 weeks. Aeion as new primary; source as read-only fallback. Note that every Singularity connector is one-directional (source → Aeion, read-only) — keeping the source current with Aeion-side changes is a custom integration against the source's own API, not something Singularity does.
Field-level redaction during mapping. PII can be pseudonymized (hashing with tenant-owned key, reversible only by tenant) or masked.
Yes. Singularity is a core platform service included at $0 with any Aeion module — there's no row cap and no feature gate. Both the one-time historical migration and ongoing sync (recurring re-runs you trigger yourself or via your own scheduler, with smart upserts) are included free.
Yes. Connect multiple sources; map each to overlapping destination collections. Common scenario: HubSpot CRM + Stripe Billing → consolidate into Aeion.
Take a manual Aegis snapshot before each major import phase (Aegis is Aeion's separate backup/point-in-time-recovery system) and you can restore to that pre-import state if something goes wrong. This isn't automatic per-phase snapshotting tied into the migration flow — it's a standard Aegis backup you trigger yourself before kicking off a phase.
