Aeion Affiliates for Influencer & Creator Programs

D2C influencer programs typically run on a Frankenstein stack — Refersion / Impact / Shopify Collabs for tracking, Stripe Connect for payouts, spreadsheets for reconciliation, and Slack for creator comms. Aeion Affiliates bundles the commission side of that natively: custom discount codes per creator, automatic refund clawbacks via Commerce hooks, and payout-ready events fired into whichever rail you already use. FAQ

Refersion is mature in this space; Aeion advantage is native integration (zero refund-reconciliation labor, automatic clawback). For small programs (under 20 creators), either works. For scale (50+ creators), Aeion's same-DB integration is significantly better.

Not through Aeion Affiliates directly — there's no public self-serve signup flow built in; affiliate records are added by an admin (or via the API), which is effectively invite-only. Teams that want a public application step typically front it with an Aeion Forms application, then have someone on the team create the affiliate record for approved applicants.

Aeion emits payout events; your rail handles disbursement. Common rails: Stripe Connect (USA + 40+ countries), Wise (140 countries), PayPal (200+ countries). Aeion is rail-agnostic.

US: 1099-NEC applies for US creators paid > $600/year, same as any contractor relationship. Aeion provides a ledger CSV export; you run that through QuickBooks / Gusto / your accountant for actual 1099 filing — Aeion doesn't generate or file tax forms itself. International: W-8BEN collection and tax-treaty handling aren't built-in features today — that's on your team's existing process.

You can build per-creator landing pages in Aeion Content (their products, bio, featured content) — that's standard Content module page-building, not something Affiliates generates automatically from a creator's record.

Each affiliate record has exactly one code today — there's no array of codes on a single affiliate. For split-testing or campaign-specific codes, you'd create a separate affiliate record per code; Aeion doesn't automatically roll those back up into one creator's totals, so if you need aggregated reporting across codes for the same person, that's a manual/BI-query step.

Aeion calculates commission per qualifying order, so if a creator's code stays linked across renewal invoices, each renewal fires its own commission — which naturally supports "recurring commission for N months" or "lifetime revenue share" depending on how long you keep the code linked. There's no separate first-payment-only toggle; that's enforced by unlinking the code after the first order if that's the policy you want.

Not a built-in feature — there's no agency/creator hierarchy in Affiliates today. An agency that manages multiple creators would typically be modeled as its own affiliate record (or you'd track the relationship in CRM) rather than an automated roll-up with agency-cut payouts.

Yes. The Portal reflects a creator's balance and ledger as soon as the underlying data changes — no batch delay. Mobile-friendly. Creator sees: conversions, balance, payout history.

Each program has one commission rate — either a flat percentage of order total or a fixed amount, applied uniformly to every qualifying order in that program. Per-product/per-category/per-segment rates or time-based ramps aren't a native rule engine; the way to approximate them is running separate programs per segment and moving affiliates between them manually.

Creator data is managed like any other user/PII record on the platform, subject to your tenant's standard GDPR/right-to-erasure handling. There's no built-in automatic anonymization timer specific to affiliate ledger entries — if you need attribution data purged on a schedule, that's a policy you'd implement, not a toggle Aeion ships today.
