Aeion Cut + Twitch

Twitch is the live gaming + community platform leader — the cultural home for streamers + esports + IRL content. Aeion's Twitch integration is RTMP-based: Twitch is one of the destination platforms in Aeion's multi-destination encoding, alongside YouTube + Facebook + custom RTMP. Aeion also runs highlight detection on the incoming feed and auto-generates short vertical clips from your stream, ready to export and publish.

FAQ

Affiliate/Partner status affects things like max bitrate and simulcast terms on Twitch's side. Aeion's streaming path (RTMP relay + multi-destination) works the same regardless of tier.

Twitch bots (Nightbot, StreamElements, etc.) handle chat commands, mod actions, channel-point custom logic. Aeion doesn't currently read Twitch chat or channel-point events — keep a dedicated bot running alongside Aeion for those.

Not currently. Aeion doesn't subscribe to Twitch EventSub, so channel-point redemptions aren't visible to it. Use Twitch's own extensions or a chat bot for that automation.

Twitch's low-latency mode is a Twitch-side dashboard setting. Aeion's relay adds its own small amount of processing latency on top regardless of which Twitch mode you pick.

Your Twitch stream key is stored encrypted at rest in Aeion. If it's compromised, rotate it from the Twitch dashboard and update the destination in Aeion — Aeion doesn't fetch a new one automatically (there's no Twitch API connection).

Yes via Aeion's multi-destination encoding. Note: Twitch Partners may have restrictions on simulcasting per their contract terms.

Those are Twitch chat settings, configured from Twitch's own dashboard — Aeion doesn't manage Twitch chat modes.

Twitch pays creator directly (1 bit = $0.01 to streamer, after Twitch's cut). Aeion isn't involved in bits at all — no visibility, no payout handling.

That's a Twitch-native feature Aeion doesn't hook into currently.

Game developers integrate Drops directly with Twitch; Aeion isn't part of that flow.

Twitch's music licensing is murky, and that risk sits on the Twitch side of the stream regardless of what Aeion does upstream. Aeion doesn't currently inspect or mute audio for rights compliance.

Twitch streaming. Auto-clipped. Multi-destination.
