Aeion Finance + Mercury
Mercury is one of the most common banking choices for startups, and it connects to Aeion Finance the same way every other bank does — through Aeion's Plaid integration. There's no separate Mercury API connector to set up: link your Mercury account via Plaid Link, and it gets the same real-time transaction sync, AI categorization, and reconciliation as any other connected bank.
How Mercury Connects
Mercury doesn't have a dedicated integration in Aeion — it connects through the standard Plaid flow described in the Plaid integration guide:
The Same Pipeline Every Bank Gets
Mercury is one of the fintech-issued accounts Plaid supports natively (alongside Brex, Ramp, and Bluevine), so once linked it inherits the full Aeion Finance bank-feed pipeline — nothing about it is downgraded for being a startup bank:
What's Not Included
Mercury offers several products beyond basic account access — Mercury Treasury (yield on idle cash), Mercury IO (programmatic payment initiation), and Mercury Personal — that aren't reachable through Plaid's standard account-and-transaction API, and Aeion doesn't have a separate direct integration with Mercury's own API. If you rely on any of these:
FAQ
No — search for "Mercury" in the standard Plaid Link bank picker, same as connecting any other bank.
No — the same AI categorization engine runs against whatever category and vendor data Plaid returns, regardless of which bank the transaction came from.
Only if you've connected Treasury as its own linked account in Plaid — Aeion then tracks it as a separate bank connection, same as any other account, but there's no Mercury-specific "Treasury" categorization on top of that.
If the card is linked through the same Plaid connection, transactions sync the same way as any other card feed. Aeion doesn't have a separate Mercury card program integration.
