Aeion's Expedia integration works via Expedia Quick Connect (EQC) with ARI (availability + rates + inventory) messages, bidirectional reservation sync, automatic failure isolation, and lodging price testing support.

Yes. Expedia validates your property + message format + test scenarios. Aeion's Expedia integration is pre-certified at the partner level; per-property certification is faster than starting from scratch but still requires Expedia's review.
Via Expedia's distribution network — one EQC connection reaches all Expedia Group brands. Hotels.com also has its own direct Aeion connection; some properties prefer that for deeper control.
Vrbo properties typically use a separate Vrbo Manager account but the underlying EQC connection works for both. For >10 Vrbo listings, Aeion also offers a dedicated Vrbo connection path.
Expedia's newer Connect API is an alternative to EQC; richer schema, REST-based. Aeion supports both; Connect API is recommended for new integrations going forward.
When Expedia provides a Virtual Credit Card for payment, Aeion charges it via Stripe/Adyen like any card; a VCC is effectively a single-use card, and Aeion respects its authorized amount and expiry.
The error is logged and surfaced to you in the admin UI. Common causes: rate parity violations (configurable), an invalid date range, or an unknown rate plan. Resolution typically takes under 5 minutes.
Expedia pushes new bookings via webhook to Aeion's endpoint, with polling as a fallback every 5 minutes if webhooks fail. Both paths land in the same reservation flow.
