Aeion Production + Gusto / QuickBooks / ADP Payroll
Production payroll is uniquely complex — union pay scales (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, IATSE, Teamsters), per-day rates with overtime + golden time + meal penalties, loan-out company payments, multi-state withholding. Aeion's union-compliance engine calculates the OT tiers, golden time, and meal-penalty pay from crew timesheets in-house, then syncs approved hours to Gusto, QuickBooks Online, or ADP Workforce Now — or posts directly into Aeion's own Finance module if none of those are connected.

Union Compliance — How It Works
Each production records its union signatory status (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, IATSE, Teamsters — including local numbers and contract references) once, and Aeion applies the right rules to every crew member automatically.

FAQ
No direct connector to either today. Productions already using Cast & Crew or Wrapbook keep doing so outside Aeion; Aeion's union-compliance engine plus its Gusto/QuickBooks/ADP connectors cover the rest.
Real, via ADP Workforce Now's Time & Labor Management API. Aeion computes union-compliant OT/DT hours first, then submits them as ADP time cards against an existing ADP associate — it doesn't provision new ADP associates.
Aeion stores signatory agreements and per-crew union membership details (member number, status) on the production and crew records.
Per-production policies; documented in Aeion's production record.
Aeion doesn't calculate or remit residuals today — that stays with whatever paymaster or union-payroll provider a production already uses outside Aeion.
Outside the US, this isn't part of the current integration — Gusto, QuickBooks, and ADP connectors are US-focused. Multi-country productions need separate payroll setups per country today.
Handled by whichever provider actually runs payroll (Gusto/QuickBooks/ADP) — Aeion doesn't generate pay stubs itself.
Generated by the payroll provider that ran the payment (Gusto contractor 1099s, or your QuickBooks/ADP-based W-2 process) — not by Aeion.
