Yes. Any ONVIF/RTSP camera (over 95% made since ~2015) registers and streams via HLS. Existing DSC, Honeywell, and Bosch panels integrate through the Bridge serial connection — you add Sentinel as a parallel controller rather than replacing the UL-listed panel, so no fire/security recertification is needed.
Sentinel subscribes to `fleet.vehicle.approaching` and can pre-open a gate or access point for the approaching vehicle, and to `fleet.location.updated` for geofence-based access gating. Those events come from the Aeion Fleet module — the pre-open behavior requires Fleet running and emitting them. Without Fleet, you still control gates manually and via schedules and zone-automation rules.
Plate recognition is part of the AI detection stack, which is a Pro-tier capability, and the inference runs on the Bridge edge GPU (or the cloud AI path). Standard-tier surveillance, access, NVR, alarms, and environmental monitoring do not include plate recognition — you would add Pro and a Bridge appliance for gate/dock LPR.
Sensor types include photoelectric beam, vibration, pressure mat, glass break, and motion (PIR / dual-tech), alongside door/window contacts — the mix you need for a fence line, a service door, and a yard. Sensors assign to alarm partitions, and two-zone verification (or camera-confirmed motion) suppresses the nuisance alarms a windy outdoor site generates.
Threshold rules are per-sensor and time-windowed — for example, "alert only if temperature stays above the set point for N consecutive readings." That rides out a brief door-open blip while still catching a genuine compressor or line failure. A breach can trigger a zone-automation action (notify facilities, log the event) with an optional auto-revert so a momentary spike doesn't latch.
The lockdown cascade locks every access point in the zone in under a second and emits `sentinel.lockdown.activated`, which fans out to Fleet as a driver broadcast (`fleet.alert.broadcast`), opens a high-severity Helpdesk ticket, and pushes notifications to the security lead. The driver-facing broadcast requires the Fleet module; the elevator/HVAC portion requires Smart Spaces.

It secures the dock, the gate, the cage, and the fence, and it logs plates and badges; it does not manage inventory, slot pallets, or schedule carrier appointments. It integrates alongside your WMS rather than replacing it.
