Aeion Spatial for Digital Twins
Digital twins — 3D models linked to real-time sensor data + operational state — power smart buildings, factories, data centers, hospitals, retail stores, and entire smart cities. Aeion ships the platform: floor plan import (CAD via glTF/FBX/OBJ, with IFC export for downstream BIM tools), 3D scene authoring, sensor data integration, multi-user CRDT collaboration for engineering reviews, WebXR walkthroughs (Quest + Vision Pro), time-series replay (rewind state to any past moment). Replaces Matterport + Bentley Synchro + Autodesk Tandem + custom integration stack.

FAQ
Matterport: best-in-class 3D scanning hardware + software ($30-2,000/mo). Aeion ingests Matterport scans + adds sensor integration + collaboration + WebXR + time-series. Often complementary (Matterport scans into Aeion).
Tandem is BIM-centric digital twin (Revit integration). Aeion is broader (any 3D source + any sensor type). Tandem better for pure BIM workflows; Aeion better for multi-vertical operations.
Yes via bridge module adapters. Custom protocols added via adapter pattern. Most BMS (building management systems) speak BACnet; Aeion bridges natively.
Designed for portfolio scale — streaming + LOD keep the 3D client-side view smooth as sensor and building counts grow. Talk to us about your specific scale requirements.
Aeion's time-series storage handles millions of sensor readings/day. For huge volume (>100M/day), recommend a dedicated time-series DB (Aeion can read from it).
Browser-based; works on iPad. For richer walkthrough, install iPad PWA. iPhone supports AR for outdoor / in-context viewing.
Aeion doesn't ship a pre-built failure-prediction model out of the box. It gives you the pieces to build one: sensor telemetry ingestion, time-series storage for training data, and AI-provider integration for running your own model — so a vibration-sensor-to-failure-prediction workflow is something you (or an integrator) build on top, not a built-in feature.
Via Singularity webhooks. Work orders linked to equipment in 3D; click equipment to see open tickets.
Configurable. Some installations track only aggregate (room count); some track individuals (with consent). GDPR compliance via Aeion's biometric handling.
Highly variable by use case, facility size, and how much manual/reactive work you're replacing. The main levers are energy savings from better HVAC/occupancy correlation, reduced downtime from earlier fault visibility, and faster maintenance response from having equipment context in 3D — but we don't have aggregated customer ROI data to cite a specific number.
