Aeion Production + Movie Magic
Migrating from Movie Magic Scheduling (MMS) and Movie Magic Budgeting (MMB) to Aeion — upload the exported files directly and Aeion parses them. Schedule strips, day breaks, and AICP-style budget department categories carry over. Schedule export back to Movie Magic-compatible XML is supported today; budget export back to Movie Magic format is not yet available, so keep Movie Magic Budgeting around if you need that specific output.

FAQ
Movie Magic Scheduling 6.0+ and Movie Magic Budgeting 7.0+ (current Entertainment Partners versions). Older versions: export to compatible format first.
Not directly supported — Showbiz uses a different export structure than MMB. Convert to MMB-compatible XML/JSON first if possible, or add line items manually.
No dedicated import path today — add crew and cast directly in Aeion.
Aeion preserves structure; some custom formatting needs re-creation in Aeion's template editor. Saved as Aeion template for future productions.
Historical projects: can be archived in Aeion. Active reference: import selectively. For tax records: import all per retention requirements.
Included in Enterprise tier. For Pro tier: typically $500-2,000 implementation fee for complex multi-production migration.
Most studios accept. Some specific studios (Disney, certain Netflix divisions) have detailed format requirements; check with studio first.
Generally yes when reports look identical to Movie Magic output. Some bonds explicitly require Movie Magic; check policy.
Yes for newer XML format (MMS 6.0+). Older proprietary formats require explicit export.
Hybrid pattern. UPM continues Movie Magic; Aeion handles scheduling + crew + on-set ops. Production gets Aeion's benefits; UPM's workflow undisturbed.
